Sep 6, 2008 550ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with a decent tan head that lasts. Taste is of hops, roasted malts, chocolate and some smoke. A little sweet. Aroma is much the same. A well rounded beer that is almost too easy to drink. I wish I could get this beer more often, because it is a real treat to have.

Sep 5, 2008 (Bottle). Roasty sweet malt aroma, with some coffee. Nearly black in color, and a substantial light tan head. Flavor is sweet and tangy, heavy malt, medium body. Lingering roasty finish.

Sep 3, 2008 Pours a rather dark brown. Tastes of roasted malts with some minimal hints of coffee. Head is rather thick and laces the glass well. Overall, it’s a pretty good porter, though nothing very outstandish about it either.
