An exceptional porter in every way. Pours a ruby black with tan head. Smells of roasted malts, leather, smoke, and dark fruits. Tastes of coffee, leather, smoke, and bitter chocolate. Feels more like a stout with a medium heavy body. Has a wonderful creaminess to it and an awesome coffee aftertaste.

Beast-Porter! Big and pretty this elixir is, the mouthfeel is tops! Blackened brown with a great lace-leaving tan froth. Subtle roastiness with a big dark chocolate and rich coffee foreground. A little leather and basement which I love in there. Bittersweet and leaving a fine lasting impression of all the flavours mentioned. English as all hell.

Appearance: Dark black body with a large creamy light tan head. Aroma: Light roasted coffee aroma and a bit of caramel scent. It’s pleasant. Taste: It has a good mouth full of flavor. There is a rich roasted flavor but not too bitter, some molasses flavor, and a bit of burnt caramel at the end. Palate: The body is full and thick but not exceedingly heavy or syrupy. It coats the mouth very well and is very easy to drink. Overall: I really like this beer. It is a great porter that has just an edge of caramel sweetness to give it that characteristic English flavor. It is very easy to just sit down, pop this open, and enjoy it to the end. It would go well with a turkey sandwich and seasoned fries or a snack like soft pretzels and dip. It has a nice "pub ale" feel to the beer with a low ABV that makes it drinkable and not overpowering in flavors. I recommend trying it.

550 ml bottle from the Bishop’s Cellar. Pours a dark brown with rubyish edges and a moderate-sized, lasting light tan head. Aroma is dark and roasty with coffee and cocoa in equal parts, sweet caramel and some fruity notes. Flavour is both roasty and rather sweet with cocoa, some coffee, candy sugar and some really nice plum and other dark fruits towards the end. Average body. Quite nice.

Nie czuć karmelowości, bardziej nuty czekoladowe i palone. Oczywiście wodniste i nudne piwo.
