Roasted black malt with coffee aroma (hints of chocolate as well). Smooth and lightly creamy. Dry. Good thing that is not very robust as expected from porter. Fine amount of aftertaste bitterness. Very dark brown body. Medium carbonated.

Pours black with a hint of red. Large beige head (stem glass). Aroma of English apples (Russets?) and a little smoke and licorice. This is a mellow beer with mild roasted malt character. The finish is dry and a little salty. Subtle, balanced, very drinkable.

Bottle at Old Ben Pub, Kovoula. Light brown foam that quickly dissapears to a thin lace. Chocolate aroma with some small amount of burnt malts. The chocolate dominates the taste but after some time the bitterness is also present. The body is small to medium.

sweet toffee aroma, well balanced malty flavor with an almost syrupy texture. Finishes bitter sweet. Down the line porter!

Deep dark chocolate brown color - approaches black in the center, but I’ve seen darker beers. Nice creamy head - pleasant light brown color, really complements the body. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, some chocolate, and what I would call overripe bananas. Flavor is dominated by a slightly bitter chocolate, a dry roasted barley, and much less so by a faint fruit taste -- more raisin than anything else. The hops are slightly more apparent as it warms up, and add to the dryness. However, the beer maintains a slight oiliness, but is ultimately a bit thinner than I hoped for. The thinness comes and goes, and when the beer is at its fullest it’s quite nice, but ultimately I think this beer should be more full. Still a pretty solid porter.

Pour is a dense creamy head with holds for a moderate time. Settles with little lacing. Beer is clear and very dark brown. Nose is rich caramel. Slightly smoky, dark chocolate, slight apple and rose. Taste is slightly tart, slightly metallic with a moderately bitter finish. Feel is light and full. A great beer.
