12 oz. bottle. Pours a rich creamy coffee brown with a small tan head. Nose is sweet. Syrup, licorice, raisins and dates, milk chocolate. Flavors of brown sugar, charred wood/black toast, cocoa powder. Mild carbonation, honeylike finish. Light bodied. Aftertaste of black coffee. Perhaps the best looking porter that I have found. An old time porter.

Dry cacao, brown bread, cracker. Eloquent malts, not sweet at all. Dry ending, woody. Not quite as rich as I wanted, especially in mouth feel. Simpler ending. Low abv thins this down too much for me. Well made though. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Goes down smooth and tastes like the epitome of what a porter is supposed to taste like outside all the innovation. Pours black with good mocha head and lacing. Dark chocolate and light roast. Creamy texture. Light sour mash finish and a small dose of bitterness. Bottle from Chevy chase.

330ml bottle served in a chalice. A: Beautiful bottle art, first of all. Pours a deep brown almost black color forming a medium creamy brown head. Some lacings are left S: Dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Great T: Roasted in the nose too. Notes of coffee and roasted malts. Quite dry and bitter as it should be with a light sour end M: Light to medium body. Medium to low carbonation. Dry and bitter aftertaste. Could be a bit more creamy like the Imperial Stout version O: High drinkability. Delicious Porter. Highly recommended [ BA Review @ 4/30/2010 ]

Very dark color, with a nice creamy brown head. Smell is roasted, with coffee and chocolate notes. Taste also, it reveals also licorice, malt is predominant. Also some sourness, but very little. Medium bodied, low carbonation, good texture. Good beer.

Pours a nice medium black, with a tan head. Aroma is roast, coffee, cacao, malt. Flavor follows suit. Dark and full tasting. Even balanced taste it does everything right.
