Aroma: what, light caramel and bread malts. Appearance: pale, hazy gold, small, white head. Taste: light bitter and sweet. Palate: bitters get slightly acid, lively carbonation, medium body, quite short finish. Overall: OK Hefeweizen, quite average, lacks aroma. Pint at the Windsor Castle, Westminster.

jjsint (1057) - Ely, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2014
On tap at Chandos, Charing Cross. Yellowish-orange, cloudy, minimal head. Aroma is very Hefeweizen: a concentration on sourdough and banoffee pie. The taste doesn’t live up to the aroma: sweet but without bringing out the scrummy flavours promised in the aroma. Short finish and a surprisingly weak palette. Good enough but instantly forgettable.
