Aroma and flavor are both kind of mineral-like, standard sam smiths yorkshire stones I guess. pours a light copper color, thin white head. Slightly bitter finish. Only thing really is that it seems a bit thin for the flavor profile. But still a nice beer. boFNjackson (1262), Portland, Oregon, USA

Aroma consisted of floral spices, dewy hops and malt. A little too much carbonation on the palate. Usual English session ale flavors, but a little bit more of a kick with the hops and bitter alcohol flavors, and some plum-like flavors in the finish. shotgun1431 (92), franklin furnace, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 19, 2008 Pours a dark golden but not amber with a white head. Smell is good and not overwellming. Good taste, not to hoppy. I dont like the bit of burn to the mouth. Not my palate. Overall good, but I wouldnt say great. What I think of when I think of a winter ale. chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA

Lighter amber color with a small white head. Honey sweet malt with a little hoppiness on the back end. Great winter beer. joeyplush (333), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA
