I had this in the 550ml bottle. The writer didnt’ waste any time with this sad description. I didnt’ realize that carbon dioxide was an ingredient. I certainly couldn’t detect any ’seaweed finings’ but I wouldn’t be surprised if more haughty reviewers had. Still, nice job. MadIndian (992), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2007 Drank in an english pint. Clear caramel color poor with a nice frothy beige head. Aromas of caramel, nice sweet aromatic hops, cask and nutty. Nice sweet caramel taste, figs, maple syrup with an earthy finish. Good bitterness, nicely carbonated and a very creamy body. Not as light as you might think yet still very refreshing. geodave (2), Toronto, Ontario, Canada does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 20, 2007 Bottle - First review
Pours a deep rust red. The head lingers slightly with minor lacing, and the nose is a nutty, aromatic malt. Taste is a slightly-spicy, neutral malt with a bitter hop character coming through at the finish. A lovely beer on a cold Toronto night, but beyond that it’s a tad mundane. robinvboyer (1424), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 19, 2007 clear amber color. typical english hop aroma. flavour is bitter with the typical english hopppiness. Some spice comes though, I find it quite similar to the pale ale. over all nice, but not mind blowing. doubelknv3 (566), Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 8, 2007 Clear amber with a thin head. Mild sweet malt notes in both aroma and flavour. Fairly well balanced, but was not impressed with the finish. Really had two stages: 1. mild bitterness 2. failry metallic-like on the back of the teeth which was unpleasant. Strange...not impressed. elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2007 The aroma possesses floral hints with some spiciness and maltiness. I love the appearance in the Imp pint glass...2cm thick white head and a mild red colour that one might expect in a pale ale or bitter. The flavour is toffee-like, with some caramel but the alcohol (only 6%) is surprisingly evident. I think temperature is the key here. Outstanding!!!! Hoppiness also presents itself toward the end.
