| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 7, 2006 An enjoyable beer that is perfect for the cold winter months. First, an impressive pour with a nice off-white head and an incredibly clear bronze color. Aroma was fairly weak, but what was there was pleasant caramel and maltiness notes. Mouthfeel was full and round. Flavors were nicely balanced with malts and hops and a warming spiciness to it to warm up the body, not overpowering on either end. As it warmed up, I’m afraid a bit of the diacytl came out to play which was a bit off-putting. Over all a nice winter beer and I look forward to their next winter offering. douglas88 (1686), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
