DandyWolfFloyd (200), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 13, 2008 Crack! It’s a 2 run triple. Man this is fine stuff. I initially smelled a lot of barley, hops, and some fruit or spice. It’s a nice orange-red color. It’s flavor is fruity, malty, and alchohol. It’s carbonated, but not gassy. It’s good.
Hank1980 (327), Athens, Georgia, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pours clear copper with a white head, looks like an IPA. Aroma of caramel, yeast, citrus. Taste is more malt and caramel, with some light hops. Body is medium with decent carbonation. Overall, a decent ale. ucusty (849), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 8, 2008 Clear copper pour thick white head. Biscuity nose. Slightly salty flavor with caramel, toffee, and some hops troyc (937), A ’moist’ county, Texas, USA Jun 26, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a clear dark copper color, with a decent white head and good lacing. Aroma of biscuit and caramel. Flavor is a bit darker, with some toffee and perhaps cocoa present. Good amount of hops, especially in the finish. Slight pine and citrus notes as well. Light alcoholic finish. An enjoyable beer, but probably would have been more so in the dead of winter. Acknud (554), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA Jun 22, 2008 I probably should have drank this in the cold months but it wasn’t bad for a late spring screening. Dark pour with a minimal head. Lively on the tongue but not over carbonated. Malty aroma but the taste was well balanced by a crisp hop finish. gotohelunc (325), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jun 21, 2008 Bottle. Bright, crystal clear copper color, big white head that quickly falls to a quarter inch. Yeasty, sour lemons on the nose. Flavors are similar to a more complex amber ale. Malts, toffee, and a decent hop profile. This didn’t blow me away, but it was plenty enjoyable and a good price.
