Commercial Description:
Gold in color, this dry-hopped ale has a depth of hop bitterness. It is characterized by low carbonation and a slightly warmer temperature because of our authentic beer engines from which it is served.

Tap, San Diego Brewing. Pours a dark amber color with minimal head. Light malty aroma with some English hoppiness. Moderately bitter malty flavor. Some spiciness as well.

Draft at brewery. Wow, no ratings since 11/04!!!!! Now billed as Admiral Baker’s Best. Bitter just isn’t marketable I guess. Amber pour withbright white head. Not much aroma. Classic malty body with a bitter flavor on the finish. Not bad.

(Draft: San Diego Brewing Company in San Diego, CA) Tastes like an English bitter with a Pacific Northwest influence. Moderately sweet and fruity, lightly malty, but also fairly bitter. Moderate grapefruit hoppiness tends to dominate the finish. The palate is smooth and soft, that is, until the hops kicks in in the finish. The nose is sweet and very fruity, also lightly hoppy. Light amber color. Large off-white head is creamy, fluffy, and slowly settles to a thin layer, fully coating the glass with dense lace.

Golden color and floral nose. Bitter right up front followed by fruity undertones with not much aftertaste.
