On tap a while ago at SDBC. Poured a pretty clear golden color with a whitish head. Aroma of yeast, banana, earth with a dash of citrus. Flavor was the same, but balanced a bit more by some earthy/citrus/flroal hops. As these types of hybrids go, this was pretty solid.

On tap at SDBC. Clear golden amber with a one finger creamy off-white head fading to a thick ring and film before long. Nose has some banana yeast up front with plenty of citrus and herbal hops. The flavor adds some alcohol and white pepper, still plenty of yeasty banana. Not too much sweetness to be had. Bone dry finish with bitterness at a 4-5 that lingers. Moderate prickly carbonation with a medium body. Good lacing. I will say it again--I love the Belgian IPA/DIPA trend.

Tasted at the 13th Annual Strong Ale Fest on 12/5/2009. This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with a touch of orange peel and floral hops. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet, orange and orange peel. The hops are citrusy and floral. Fruity and estery with some hop bite. The hop flavors are milder, so the bitterness stands out a little more in this beer. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Bright and yeasty. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Clear reddish golden with a creamy white head. Sweet caramel grapefruit tangerine and pine aroma and taste with a nice sweet finish.

Woo frigging Hoo!!! I’m rating #2 of this brew! Crystal clear orange/amber with a strong, long lasting head. Nose is a mix of citrus/orange Belgian and bitter hops. Taste is fruity and light up front, to a sharp hoppy back. A bit of caramel lightly hidden. Effervescent light fruit burst slowly fades to aspirin bitter. Gooey in the back.

Tap @ Pizza Port Strong Ale fest 2009. Pours a mostly hazed deep golden orange with a frothy off white head, nice lacing. Tons of citrus and Belgian yeast on the nose. Flavor held a lot more yeast than expected, nice hop bitterness on the finish.
