cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Jul 1, 2007 On tap @ SDBC - Pours a clear copper color with a small off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, and light esters. Flavor is citrus and floral hops with a light malt background. Medium body. A nice IPA. Probably the best beer of the evening. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jun 28, 2007 This is some damn good stuff. Grapefruit and tropical punch aroma. Pours red/gold. Flavor is super citrus and pine. A little roasty caramel malt peaks through on the backend, but this one is a hop monster fo sho. Extremely resiny. Would like to have again, but this place is hella far away. Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA Jun 21, 2007 Draft at the SanDiego County Fair Craft Brewers Festival. Pours with an Orange-amber body topped by a meidum thick to thick head with a good amount of lacing. Slightly sweet and grapefruity with a nice maltiness, underlying pine notes, and fruity esters. Full bodied, smooth and warming. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jun 9, 2007 Draft at brewery. Lots of green pine and floral aromas coming off this golden orange brew. Nice head too. Flavors were still very green and floral. Lots of Big C hops. Very good. Stood up quite nicely against the Alpine Pure Hoppiness that was also on tap.
