Commercial Description:
An amber lager. Distinctive malt character dominates the full, rounded flavors of Emperor Norton Lager. The rich blend of lightly roasted malts creates a unique, smooth taste.

Bronze-amber with light head. Easy drinking with a light graininess. Slight sour and cardboard finish.

Sampler at the brewpub. This is a bland lager, with not much going for it.Yellow body with a small white head. A very light grassy aroma, and mild hoppy flavour.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber, small head. Medium sweet with buttery mild malt providing soft mouthfeel. Doughy malt flavour with some grass. Low-medium bitterness. A well made unassuming beer.

Pours amber with no head. Actually there is not much aroma nor flavor. This beer has a cool name but nothing else. Boring.

Draft at SFBC. Off-whiite small head that was mostly lasting, next to no lacing, transparent, visible carbonation, and a yellow hue. Malty, hoppy and citrus nose. Ditto for the flavor and finishes dry. Smooth, dry mouthfeel and light body. This was just a so-so brew as nothing is really notable about it. Rather dull and boring for the style.
