San Francisco King of the Hill Stout

On tap at the brewpub. Pours coal black with a medium and dense dark tan head. This was served out of a small keg behind a cabinet under the backbar. I loved the clandestine performance art of this pour. One dense beer indeed. Chewy chocolate and caramel and sorghum blasts of flavor. Outstanding body and serious alcohol heat. Serious use of hops makes this balance out with the dryness that other beers lack here. This beer is truly King of the hill on North Beach.

very lactic and medicinal in a beautiful way! lots of molasses that bitters, finishes with lots of milk chocolate flavor and hints of medium dry bitterness, very dark with a tiny tan ring of a head
