8/26/2007: San Juan Erik The Red Ale is clear amber in color with a small, thin, off-white to beige-colored crown that leaves puffy lacing. This beer has a stong flavor with lots of syrupy caramel maltiness and a light citrus hoppiness. It tastes a lot like a barleywine since it has a caramel and fruity malt profile and fruity with a soft hop character. No alcohol can be tasted. This medium-body beer has a soft and smooth palate. Overall this is a very good beer and big upgrade from <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/san-juan-raging- Juan Raging Main Ale that it is based on!

4 oz draught sample Ɨ.3% Alc By Vol, OG 1.071, Brewed 5/21/2007) at the Front Street Ale House in Friday Harbor, Washington. Rating #1 for this beer...
