| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 7, 2009 22-oz bottle. Pour is a pale orangey color with thin head and big bubbles, light on the carbonation. Very light aroma, what there is is peaches. Taste is malt, damp, earth, woody, with light citrus and as the flavor subsides, carmel and toffee notes with a touch of bitter on the back of the tongue which doesn’t linger. Palate is light, slick, and soft, with a light astringency.
Not a typical ESB at all -- not in style, nor what I expected. Once I get over that fact, this is actually a really interesting beer, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Aubrey (2782), Denver, Colorado, USA

Carbonation was light as well. Malt flavors were pretty tasty and full (caramel, toffee, toast, earth, wood). Hop bitterness was mild (herbal, light flowers and grass) but not too shabby. Some light tobacco in the aftertaste added a nice element. Not a bad session beer. jcwattsrugger (5583), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
