Draft. An amber beer with a thin lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, butter, and lots of caramel, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Roasted and toffee aroma, hint of butter. Toffee caramel and roasted malt flavours with alight butterish note. Decent bitterness in the finish. Lasting toffee and butterish impression.

Dogbrick (4531) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 1, 2008
Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a clear orange-amber color with a thin light beige head that recedes steadily. Spotty lacing. The aroma is of caramel and earthy malt. Light to medium body with a sweet malty character. Some caramel and hops are present too. The finish is charred malt with a lightly bitter malt aftertaste that does not last. Just average overall.

On tap at SM Brewery--Poured a stellar amber-chestnut body with a medium white head. Faint malty, traditional English/Scottish style appeal. Dry, crisp, earthy flavor. A little thin and bland in the finish.
