COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Philippine’s first and only low-calorie beer. It has the same refreshing, full-flavored taste and alcohol content of the nation’s favorite brew, San Miguel Pale Pilsen.

Bottled. Pale yellow colour, almost no head. Extremely skunked hops in aroma, almost like living in a barnyard. Flavour is a bit skunked and unclean malts. Stay away. Not sure if I should say a thank you to Tbone_ who brought this beer from Singapore and shared it with me...

Golden color, not much head. Skunky hoppy head. Flavor is less exciting: carbonated, malty and more or less flavorless. As "good" as light beers usually.

I drank a lot of these when I was in the Philippines last July 2005. It may be watery, but it goes well with Filipino food (Filipino-style BBQ and grilled fish). Recommended ice-cold and with food.

To be perfectly acurate, this is not a light beer in the sense of low-alcohol, but rather a low-calorie beer. Really, I’m just splitting hairs needlessly because it is a below-average plae lager any way you slice it. Nothing offensive, just a watery bland palate that offers no character. The only redeeming factor is that it is refreshing in a hot climate, but then again, so is a glass of water.

I was considering rating this beer higher simply because it lacks SOME of the "San Miguel Urine Smell" factors of it’s proud product line. Still, it’s a bad beer, full stop. The bottle is clear, I think the inherant skunkiness might have fought the Pee smell and won on some strange bacterial level. Zero head, thin body, vague ingredients, high alcohol (relatively), ... Long neck bottle makes you wish it was a Miller Light. Avoid, unless you are in the Philippines, then drink absolutely ice cold with spicy & salty snacks.

Not good. Poured yellow with no head. Aroma of corn and grass. Flavor of malt and corn, Not good .

Bottle. I tried this as someone had bought instead of the Pale Pilsner. Very thin and dry, not for me even in a hot climate. Tastes like they used sugar to produce the alcohol instead of malt. Difficult to drink.

Moderately dark straw colour. Light aroma with hints of grains and malts. Very light palate. Empty. It tastes like its been gutted. Like they brewed a beer and then took a bunch of stuff out. Which if you’re going to reduce calories without reducing alcohol, I suppose you have to do.

It lists cereal as an ingredient, it tastes like metallic, wet cereal. It took me an hour to finish, I wanted to like it but should have poured it! Pretty bad.

For a light beer, it actually had some flavor but was ultimately unimpressive. A bit fruity, although the corny/adjuncty presence was detectable in the aroma and flavor. Nothing to write home about.
