COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Philippine’s first and only low-calorie beer. It has the same refreshing, full-flavored taste and alcohol content of the nation’s favorite brew, San Miguel Pale Pilsen.

330ml bottle @ Ting Tong Bar, Patong, Phuket, Thailand. Ice cold beer. Almost like water, but I can drink this.

Bottle from local Yamaya store. Light sewer nose, abattoir, and washed up flotsam under the pier. Bright medium straw color. Mild spritzy, crappy initial / malt is so thin / goes a bit sourish and even funky / then a lousy tingling sweetness. Thin, watery. Rather unpleasant overall.

Oh ya, nuthin’ better than an obscure light beer to re-ignite one’s passion for craft beer!! I think this is drunk by all the Philipinos in Bermuda who don’t want to actually get drunk on their downtime (or can’t) and just sort-of-want-to-be-seen drinking beer. Has a golden body with minimal carbonation and a modest white head that does not disappear too quickly. Aroma is of rotten cabbage. Flavour is rotting cabbage, but thankfully not too offensive as the palate is just so watery. Weak and offensive, and sadly as I expected.

330 ml can bought at Market Place by Jason’s in Langham Place, Mong Kok.

Piss pale golden yellow colour; Razor-thin head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 10 seconds; Minimal lacing and slightly active carbonation; Mildly pungent smell of malt, with rotten vegetables, rice, light corn syrup and faint grass; Zero sweet taste of very faint malt, with soda water, light rice, faint wet cardboard, and notes of lemony grass; Light body, plain water palate; Mouth feel is 99% water, resembles to macro Happoshus of the worst kind. The remaining 1% of malt-rice-hop notes doesn’t account for much, only to remind you just how useless it is… Hoppiness is grassy note in nose and taste with bits of faint lemon. No bitterness, just water finish. Wet after taste, very easy and void to mouth.

Comments: This one is bad, but not as horrible as Pearl River 12°. Still, rotten veggie aroma plus near pure water taste surely add up: instant drain pours!

Good for a Light beer. Clear golden with smal head, grain and malt aromas like dough and corn. Light body, low hop bitterness, watery end.

Poured from a can into a glass while in Thailand. Aroma has a light, sweet graininess with faint grassy hop character. Light sulfur note and no diacetyl. Pours a pale yellow with a thin white head that quickly recedes to the Shea where it lingers. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor has a light, sweet graininess with faint grassy and floral hops. Light sulfur note and low bitterness. A slight twang in the finish, which I think is from the hops. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall an alright light beer. In some ways it is better than regular San Miguel as the flavor isn't so watery, but there is more sulfur in the light version and the hops are fainter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can drank from the can. Same doughy aroma with some grain thrown in. A hint of puke lingers. Watery bland flavor with grain and bread. This brew is lighttttt

Sampled every which way. Bottle, Can, Keg. They all suck pretty much equally though, I think the clear bottle is a bit noticeably worse. It definitely doesn’t stand up to it’s claim of "the same refreshing full flavored taste Pale Pilsen". Not as enjoyable as the pale. This is like the bud light, compared to budweiser. Except that budlight is a little better than this.

@ Lanta Casuarina Beach Resort, Koh Lanta, Thailand. Burk från 7-eleven, Koh Lanta. Det här var riktigt dålig! Som att dricka småbeskt kolsyrat vatten med en metallisk touch!!

Biting, fermented, rotten fruit, forest berries, strawberry aroma. Zero taste. Resembles mineral water. Reminds a little of metal pipes.

Skunky gold but not quite, cloudy for a pilsner, nice to have 5% abv in a "light" beer but I’d rather drink something of quality. On a hot humid Manila day it suffices for refreshment.
