Reviewed 7/25/2009 (bottle): Pours a pretty dark reddish color body, with a huge tan colored head, lasting. Very strong malty aroma, some nuttiness, and lots of earthiness. Some funkiness too, like ripe bananas. Somewhat watery mouthfeel, somewhat creamy too. Malty earthy aftertaste. Some bananas in the taste. Some roasted notes. Not too shabby. Carbonated, but not harsh. A little sweet after a while.

( 12 oz bottle, provided by Cavie ) Pours a dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of light roast, caramel, and earth. Flavor of caramel, corn, roasted malt, and light metallic with a dry finish.

Good; not great. Bit thin. Better than anticipated. Some decent roasted malt flavor, but lacking in other respects.

Bottle thanks to Cavie. Reddish pour. A faint aroma that I can’t make out. Tastes a little malty with a nasty aftertaste.
