An ordinary pale lager I had when I was in the Phillipines. Easy to drink and suitable for the warm climate.

Wheaty aroma. Yellow, clear, white head goes fast. Medium bitterness, medium sourness. Boring palate. Watery and plain.

The Philippines’ standard lager, with pale yellow blonde colour and frothy head. Grainy, clear corn presence but not the somewhat more refined rice I’m used to from Asian lagers, mild aromatic hops. Thin and bland, but I had worse among similar European brews.

I’m not entirely convinced that this beer isn’t actually a mix of crappy beer, corn syrup and some type of urine, either human or animal. I’m awaiting the lab results. For some reason I also thought it would be fun to review two "classic" Pilsners back to back, one a true classic (Pilsner Urquell), the other one...this.Then I also thought it would be a good idea to drink the Urquell first. It wasn’t. I should’ve started with this travesty instead. Thank god I have another Urquell in the fridge. To be fair, if the lab results don’t actually contain urine, I may bump my review up to a 2.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2014 Another adjunct lager. Low on flavors and aromas, light bodied and slightly astringent. Some skunk. Nothing noteworthy.

330ml tinnie consumed on a Hong Kong stopover. A below average pale lager with sweet corn malts and a low hop bitterness. Typical mass produced affair. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle. Pale straw gold color. Large foamy white head. Light grainy malt nose redolent of corn. Sweet malt flavor with more corn. Light body and flavor. Just a whisp of dry hops in finish. Not much going on here.

330ml bottle from a supermarket in Tallinn, clear gold colour, medium fizzy mostly lasting white head, fair lacing. Moderately malty aroma of grain, hay and corn, light spicy hops. Taste is initially slightly sweet and not much else, turning into a mildly bitter finish with a slightly alcoholic feel. Light body, dry texture, lively carbonation. A fairly boring and uninteresting below-average lager.
