Watery golden. Slight sweetness. Mostly tasteless. Full of harsh carbonation. Quenches the thirst, but offers little else. I prefer the standard SM.

Bottle poured to pint glass very cold beer Appearance: Light orange, minimal head, a lot of lacing Aroma: Strong scent smell of alcohol, nothing else Taste: not really great Mouth feel: very carbonated Overall: good beer for the hot weather in the Philippines, and to get drunk quickly at the fastest rate and the most inexpensive way

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head fades very fast leaving only a trace of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is very skunky with a moderately strong smell of grain and hay. Along with these smells comes some sweet aromas of a corn syrup, producing a rather skunky adjunct aroma overall. Taste – The taste begins with a bit of corn syrup sweetness mixed with some bready tastes. As the taste advances some grassy and hay flavors develop along with a little bit of skunk. In the end, a little bit of caramel and grain come to the tongue as well. Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thin with a carbonation level that is rather average. More carbonation and even less body would have likely been better for the skunky, corny, and grainy tastes of the brew. Overall – Not a very good brew in my mind. If I am looking for an adjunct I would much rather go a Bud, Coors, or Miller over this. Not really a worthy competitor in the adjunct category.

330ml bottle from Market Place by Jasons, Hong Kong. Pours clear golden with a dissipating white head. Metallic aroma of malt, a bit odd, with a sweet finish.

Another one from PH courtesy of Richard. Cheers! Poured a deep amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is very sweet, and malty. Heavily sweet to taste, no bitterness. Light body, thin texture, quite fizzy. Not a good beer, tasted better no-alcohol malt drinks.

330ml can (thanks Ares). Pale yellow color. Tiny size, white head, stays. Alcohol, malty, burnt plastic in aroma. Malty, sour, raw plastic in taste. Just plain awful. Massive thanks to people who shared that can with me. I owe you one!

330ml can - Thanks Ares’ mate!
Bland aroma, but what is there is fruity and very sickly. I fear for my eyesight. Disgusting tomato taste. Some glue too. Pale gold, some odd flecky floating bits. Almost a horror. Yeugh, no, actually a horror. Sickly tomato, and god-knows-what chemicals.

One notch above Pale Pilsen version. This one they don’t cut with sugar. Its a faint difference but slightly noticeable in the strength of the flavor. I ranked this lower though since it doesn’t get the "readily available and cheap as heck" bonus points that the regular version gets. Cheers.

330 ml green bottle bought at Market Place by Jason’s in K11, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Clear golden yellow colour; Half finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Small lacing and slightly fizzy carbonation; Pungent smell of malt, with corn syrup, light canned peaches, light musty, light bread, light lemon and light grass; Medium sweet taste of light malt, with notes of tartness, light syrup, soggy bread, soda, hint of metallic, thin lemon citrus and very light grass; Mid to light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is slightly maltier macro Pale, with thicker palate but still really watery. Sweet syrupy soda water, soggy and stale, plus slightly tart notes, faint metallic and hint of wet paper. Poor… Hoppiness is very light lemon and faint grass in nose and taste. Bitterness is barely detectable. Sugar water finish; Wet after taste, very easy and quite sweet to mouth.

Comments: This is a poor Premium Lager: watery, slightly more maltyness, sweet, soggy, barely any hoppiness, and bits of off tastes floating around. Slightly better other San Mig’s Asian macro Pales, but don’t waste your time with this garbage brew.
