Pours a clear light golden color with white head. Cereal grains on the nose, with maltiness; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a little sweet lager flavor.

Pretty bland even as pale lagers go. Has a strange aftertaste, but itís still pretty drinkable.

Bottle at my hotel in Quezon City, Manila, Philippines. Transparent gold with minimal white head. Aroma of corn and wheat. Tastes of corn, malts and wheat. Very funky and not good, but refreshing on a hot day.

Typical lager with nothing special in it. There is absolutely nothing going on in this beer. Just drinkable beverage. In hot and stuffy Philippines itís refreshing as hell.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2014 Review: Bottle of San Miguel pale lager, 4.8%ABV A tasty beer thatís easy to drink and a refreshing choice on a hot summers day. The appearance is that of a typical lager, golden and clear. It has a very thin head that disappears quickly, with a small amount of lacing. Not a strong aroma which smelled fresh and clean. Slight grainy aroma. Taste was light and smooth with traces of grain and a soft aftertaste .

Cerveja pils comum. Coloração amarelo claro, sabor suave sem acabamento, aroma nulo, baixa carbonatacao com media formação de espuma. Cerveja comercial.

I guess something must be said for the ubiquitous nature of this style of beer. Itís the least offensive, easiest to pound all day and night so you can look like a champ (douche) and is usually cheap to make, therefore to buy. This one is golden wheat colour, tastes and smells of grain, corn and white sugar. Not awesome.
