UPDATED: SEP 7, 2010 Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear gold color with a thin white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma that has some floral and malt notes. Medium body with a moderately hoppy flavor along with some sweet malt. The finish is lightly bitter with a hops aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

On tap at the brewpub while my wife was at a conference. Crystal clear pour. Orange amber. Nose is light malts and hints of copper penny. Taste is roasty and lots of malt. Hints of burnt, and even chocolate. Very suprised given the color and aroma.

Part of sample tray at the brewery. Was more impressed with the place than the beer. Average Pale Ale

Tap at the brewery. Named after a damn cool lighthouse. Pours orange with a bright white ring. Nose is slightly malty. Taste is far more balanced than most of the other beers Ive had from them. Crisp malts and a touch of hops on the taste.

On draft at brewery, consumed 01/21/08. Medium copper/amber color, good head retention. Active carbonation. Slightly thicker than water. Nutty malts start and piney, resiny hops finish. Lingering bitterness. Respectable.

on tap-pours a thin off white head and amber color. Aroma is medium malt, some citrus/pine hops. Taste is citrus/pine hops-some bitter, medium malt-caramel. English something here. OK/mild carbonation.

On tap poured a hazy amber/orange color with a nice off white head. Aroma was medium citrus and pine with some caramel. The flavor was mildly bitter and fruity along with a good semi dry finish.

Well done. What's weak in the nose is made up for in taste with a fruity start and strong (but not overpowering) bitter finish.

I liked this brew. Not as complex or hoppy as Sierra Nevada PA, for example, yet it is pretty darn good. I liked the frothy head on this beer. Nice look. Taste has nice hop bitterness. The problem with this beer is that it doesn't leave a lasting impression. Except for the appearance, it's pretty ordinary.
