Dark brown with beige head. Highly drinkable, the best one from the producer. Aroma of the woods and leaves. Some coffee hints. Bitter finish and very smooth. Complex taste in the very nice bottle.

0,33 bottle. Refermenated in the bottle, what can be quite tricky. Dark color, thick, creamy, brown head that stays for long time. Aroma: little bit of coffee and hops. Taste of roasted malts, medium sweetness with little sour taste after, which i did not like too much

Bottle 500 ml, courtesy of and shared with JFK. Pours dark brown. Beige head. Hoppy aroma. Roasted malts and hoppy dry bitterish finish. Would be better if it had more body. Best one from Bujska pivovara.

After experiencing their reddish one this followed and for the first time in my life a Schwarzbier could beat another beer. Wow, this one is really fine. Highly drinkable and quaffy but beside this it offers a few nice aromas of citrus, herbs and some bread developing a roasty taste which ends quite sour. Thumbs up for that one.

Bottle from a trade with gopferfan99 - thank you, Steve! The beer has got a deep dark brown / blackish colour with an steady head and medium body. Aroma of torf and malt with coffee hints. Taste of roasted malt, torf, leaves, woods, coffee and coffee beans. Hints of dark chocolate. Wonderful to drink with a light dry and medium bitter finish. Enjoyed it a lot.

Jun ’14. A 0.5 l bottle from Vrutak store, Zagreb. It poured hazy dark brown body with bigger beige head. Yeasty, "homebrew" aroma - touched with unpasteurized hops. Secondary aromas came later, including some nuts, caramel, wood and making it quite complex. Flavor was lightly bitter, not so sweet as aroma suggested, which is always a good thing. However, it was relatively thin in body making its qualities too subtle for my taste. Coffee, chocolate, raisins, nuts, wood...complex in its subtlety, made this really a nice surprise after huge disappointment in their other two beers that still suffer from same flaws as in the beginning, reflecting it only a little bit on this one’s nose.

Disappointing. The aroma is better than the flavor. Toasty-roasty with a touch of hops. Bread. Flavor disappoints. Mouthfeel is lacking. A touch of almost sourness in the mouth. Not entirely pleasant. Tastes like they tried to make an Irish stout with a lager yeast and missed the mark. Certainly not even close to one of the best beers in Croatia.

Bottle; pours a dark brown with a beige head; aroma of roast malts, some hops, and a hint of coffee; taste is bittersweet with malt and hints of chocolate, coffee, and hops; has bitter finish; pretty smooth; San Servolo’s best beer

Dark fuscous brown, strong smell of coarse yeasts and darker grains. A few unpleasant binotes of rotting material can be felt. The taste is complex; starts as pure fizziness before it turns to coarser, darker malt notes that make me think of belgian doubles, blackcurrants, rock candy, prunes and dark bread. The malt is very well combined here. Probably this beer would benefit from more fermentation.
