Until september 2011 brewed at De Prael

A clear, lemon like colored beer with a firm layer of foam. A nice, fresh sour aroma with the touch of grain. It tastes somewhat bitter/sour where the bitterness is more present than the sour part. A slightly bitter aftertaste remains for a while. Een helder, citroengeel bier met een compacte witte kraag. Een lekker fris zurig aroma met op de achtergrond de hint van graan. De smaak is bitterzuur waar het bittere voor op de tong ligt. Een licht bittere nasmaak blijft even hangen.

Hazy straw with medium white head. Lots of herbs up front, some banana and ripe apple, grassy, flowery, light dough and grains, light yeast. Medium bodied and nice carbonation. Slightly watery. Not bad, but nothing like German Weizen like it claims on the label.

Overcarbonated weak flavor. Herbs add just a little but this is not a great brew. Bottle from the mitra vismarkt groningen.

Straw yellow cloudy beer with white foam head. Aroma of coriander, grapefruit and hay. Average wheat beer taste with a slightly dominating bitterness. Can not find anything of the lime blossom.

Straw blond colour. Quickly fading soapy head. Wheaty taste with light banana sweetness. Overall though it’s not overly sweet and has a dry, peppery finish.

I usually like German Hefeweizen, but this one was too watery and just plain boring.

Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a weizen glass. ABV 5% Hazy golden yellow colour on the body, huge and thick head on top, snow white in colour, with very good retention. Lazy activity in the glass and spots of lacing every here and there left behind. Aroma of wheat, soap, light citrus, unripe bananas. Nice taste, again wheat being dominant, light yeast, light banana. Mildly bitterness on the finish and on the aftertaste. Very refreshing. Thin to medium thin body, soft carbonation, on the low side. Overall quite good, very refreshing as I said, would be great on a hot summer day.
