COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

75 cl. bottle sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Apparently this is the only abbey beer from NL (not a certified one I believe). Dark brown with a reddish hue, little head. Nose is heavy on sweet malts, thick herbs, caramel goo, warming & faintly vineous. Taste is thick on sweet liquorish, candy sugar, malts, faint vinous & warming quality, touch anis, lots of brown sugar, light fruity. Tick & malty body with less carb. Nothing wrong with this one.

0,75l fles.

Corked 75cl bottle @ home. Very dark, almost no head. Sweetness and caramel, but not too sweet. Not as much taste as a Belgium Christmas ale, but pretty close.

At Pint Winterfest 2012. Poured a medium brown with a small diminishing head. Aroma of sweet, spiced slightly roasted malt. Medium bodied, flavour of medium bitter sweet malt and dark fruit with some spice. Dry, spicey aftertaste.
