2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle purchased as part of a mix a six at the Festival in Onalasaka, Wisconsin. The pour is a clear golden amber with a two inch light tan head. The head is lasting, falls with nice lace. The aroma is caramel malt, some plum, and a bit of a dustiness. The taste is the sweet caramel malt throughout, with a bit of grass and hay in the middle, and mineral in the back. As the beer warms, the mineral gets a dirty earthy edge to it. The palate is medium to light bodied, very low carbonation, and the slightly dirty dry finish. The dry finish does help to cut the sweetness. Just OK.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a cloudy amber, with nose of caramel, dark fruits, and nuts. A little sweet, but the flavors are good. Some sour cherries, raisins, and a chocolate caramel on the end. Pretty good!

Well, a mediocre beer from a less than mediocre brewery. Pretty much sums it up.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Deep amber with brown hints. Fruity caramel malt, toast, light skunky hops. Flavor is caramel and heavily toasted malt, syrupy fruit. Mild hops. Chalky/mineral taste with a finish that has too much sweetness. Creamy.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a clear amber/red with a quick diminishing head and no lacing, the aroma is straight forward with the sweet malt and the taste is much of the same with a little hint of grain in the finish and touches of caramel, doesn’t really blow me away.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a nice dark reddish amber with a slightly tan head that faded to lace rather quickly. Aroma was mainly of malt with a sweetness. Taste was similar with slightly sweet, malty/grainy front end followed up with a moderate hop finish. Mouthfeel was good. Overall, I thought this brew was pretty good and may come back later for another purchase from the folks at Sand Creek.

Pours a cooper red with a medium sized tan head. Nose is hops and a hint of caramel. Very creamy on the palate. Taste is malt and caramel with a nice dry hop finish. Very good beer. Pairs well with smoked turkey and lentil soup.
