Gold Medal Winner in the World Beer Cup 2000, Oscarís has quickly become our most popular brand. A full-bodied beer with a smooth finish, this is the ultimate oatmeal stout.

12 oz. bottle, consumed on 9-29-14. Pleasant, simple aroma features scents of chocolate and brown sugar. Pours a dark brown with an amber hue. A small amount of beige head produced by the initial pour. A large amount of short-lasting beige head in the second pour. Basic appearance. Nice taste features flavors of char, dark chocolate, oatmeal, lemon, and coffee. Light to medium body. Somewhat lively and frothy in the palate. Ordinary palate effects. Overall, this is a decent and reasonably enjoyable beer, but it does not stand out in any way.

Pours dark black with small brown head and not much lacing. Aroma is a little chocolate , oatmeal, roast and slight coffee. Really not that good.

12oz bottle, picked up from Brennanís in Madison, Wisconsin during my stay for GTMW. Very dark brown red color. Thin ta head, that fizzes away to a thin ring. Few loose dots of lace. Good dark chocolate, oatmeal flavors. Some sweet chocolate syrup. Medium body. Kind of slick texture. Nice chewiness, and full feel for a 4.5% stout. Lighter, kind of soft carbonation. Moderate sweet taste, nice light to moderate bitter balance to it as well. Not too sweet for me, as this style can often be. Maybe the lighter gravity helps with that.

Pours a nice dark brown with tan head. Cocoa, roasted malt, caramel, and some oats on the nose; follows onto the palate. Very chewy stout. Delicious!

Aroma of sweet chocolate, vanilla. Nice ebony black with a lighter tan head. Rich sweet roasted malt explodes nicely up front. Then chocolate, roasted coffee and vanilla flavors come through. Finishes with a nice hint of bitterness. Strong showing.

Wasn't expecting much from this, as it came in a variety pack with various craft beers, and the others were not very good. But it was a very solid oatmeal stout. I'd definitely buy/order it in the future. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Twelve ounce bottle from a Beer Of The (Every Other) Month Club. Almost opaque brown hue, medium tan head, zesty aroma of malt, chocolate, coffee and some oats in there, initial mouthfeel of too much carbonation followed by a sugery sweetness, then some prominent chocolate and coffee flavor thatís more like what the aroma promised. Rather nice brew.

This pours a dark brown color with a slight brown, carbonated head. The aroma is filled with cocoa and oats. The taste is a little thinner than I would have thought. It has a sweet oat flavor yet it is not super heavy in flavor. Decent body and very drinkable but I also think a little over-rated as well.

12oz bottle. Oily black pour with a loose brown head. Burnt espresso aroma with a little woodiness. The flavor is stale burnt espresso with a lingering bitterness. Very dry body with a medium mouth feel and soft carbonation.
