Gold Medal Winner in the World Beer Cup 2000, Oscarís has quickly become our most popular brand. A full-bodied beer with a smooth finish, this is the ultimate oatmeal stout.

12 oz. bottle from friendís beer refrig., poured to a shaker showing some ruby highlighting as it entered the glass, but mainly a black/brown hue, with a modest layer of brownish tan foam, and spots & streaks of lacing. The nose was roasty, mainly coffee with some chocolate backing. Medium bodied, with low carbonation, and some decent malt to balance the low hop bitterness. Somewhat dry finishing with some woody & dusty hints. Not bad. Went down easy, and was nicely food compatible.

Too much citrus for an oatmeal stout. Needs more chocolate. Lacks the velvety mouth feel of an oatmeal stout. Received in my beer of the month. Not very memorable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clean with small head. Almost no aroma. Taste is chocolate and coffee but has a hint of something else I canít quite identify - kind of reminds me of lunchmeat.

A very smooth oatmeal stout with a very easy to drink palate and smooth finish. The body needs to be a little more robust and the character a little more emphatic. While it is smooth and drinkable, the chocolate flavor is minimal and unannounced. Overall a nice beer.

On tap in Hudson WI while at a Christmas party. Good stout that has a lot of complexity.

12 ounce bottle. Pours almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Taste is chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, and smoke. Smooth and easy to drink.

Great rich head and dark chocolate appearance. Richly sweet on the nose, but a bit too clean on he palate, with a beautiful taste that just doesn't linger quite long enough. Plenty of roasted oats to satisfy, but just not enough depth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black with 2 finger cinnamon colored head that lingers a bit. Nice nose of some coffee and roasted malt. This is a pretty easy drinking stout. Some chocolate and earthy flavor, but lacks any strong hops. Very good, but a bit of bite on the finish would make this great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black with a big and foamy, although short lived, light tan head. Rather potent aroma that has earthy malts, chocolate, lots of licorice, and a bit of coffee. The taste is dominated by chocolate, with undertones of licorice. The aftertaste lingers for awhile and is the same as the taste. Light in body with a thin and creamy texture. Carbonation is more soft. I like most everything that is offered here. But it is very light and there isnít a whole lot here to really make it settle like a full beer. I really feel like it is missing the necessary punch that Iím looking for in something like this.
