pours a darker brown with a good dark head. This beer tastes of roasted dark chocolate malts with dark sour fruits in the back ground. There is a bitter coffee tastes that is slightly watered down.

Pours a nice dark brown with tan head. Cocoa, roasted malt, caramel, and some oats on the nose; follows onto the palate. Very chewy stout. Delicious!

Aroma of sweet chocolate, vanilla. Nice ebony black with a lighter tan head. Rich sweet roasted malt explodes nicely up front. Then chocolate, roasted coffee and vanilla flavors come through. Finishes with a nice hint of bitterness. Strong showing.

Wasn't expecting much from this, as it came in a variety pack with various craft beers, and the others were not very good. But it was a very solid oatmeal stout. I'd definitely buy/order it in the future. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Twelve ounce bottle from a Beer Of The (Every Other) Month Club. Almost opaque brown hue, medium tan head, zesty aroma of malt, chocolate, coffee and some oats in there, initial mouthfeel of too much carbonation followed by a sugery sweetness, then some prominent chocolate and coffee flavor thatís more like what the aroma promised. Rather nice brew.

This pours a dark brown color with a slight brown, carbonated head. The aroma is filled with cocoa and oats. The taste is a little thinner than I would have thought. It has a sweet oat flavor yet it is not super heavy in flavor. Decent body and very drinkable but I also think a little over-rated as well.

12oz bottle. Oily black pour with a loose brown head. Burnt espresso aroma with a little woodiness. The flavor is stale burnt espresso with a lingering bitterness. Very dry body with a medium mouth feel and soft carbonation.

12oz bottle, Ridgeview Liquors Green Bay/WI. Pours a generic filter coffee black with big-pored cola foam. Not much in the way of aroma but the precursor of roast, contained by chalky watery body. Surprisingly light-bodied for an oatmeal stout, enhancing the overbearing cold filter coffee dimension of the taste, some cocoa powder and "traces of nuts" and caramel. Almost a dry stout.

tmoreau (2315) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - SEP 1, 2013
12 oz. bottle from friendís beer refrig., poured to a shaker showing some ruby highlighting as it entered the glass, but mainly a black/brown hue, with a modest layer of brownish tan foam, and spots & streaks of lacing. The nose was roasty, mainly coffee with some chocolate backing. Medium bodied, with low carbonation, and some decent malt to balance the low hop bitterness. Somewhat dry finishing with some woody & dusty hints. Not bad. Went down easy, and was nicely food compatible.

Too much citrus for an oatmeal stout. Needs more chocolate. Lacks the velvety mouth feel of an oatmeal stout. Received in my beer of the month. Not very memorable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
