SpringsLicker (1817), Tennessee, USA Jul 19, 2008 Thanks to buckybeer for this one.
Clear gold body with a tall, slightly off-white head.
Clean citrus aroma.
No hop flavor, very little malt flavor.
Very watery.
eaglefan538 (2048), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Aug 30, 2008 On draft at the Clark Street Ale House. Pour was nice, full amber color, nice initial head with good retention and lacing. The aroma was herbal/earthy hoppy with some citrus in there too. The flavor followed suit, the herbal/earthy hops the feature of it all, floral hops also appearing in the flavor. Gentle hints of caramel, the way I like my IPAs, generally speaking, not overloaded with caramel. The mouthfeel was moderate, a nice drinker, my favorite of the evening. CaryTheDude (178), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Aug 2, 2008 Impressed. Picked it up in a variety 6. Very decent IPA with a bit of a stale aftertaste but pleasant and no dishsoap. Always a plus, aight? GAManiac (290), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jul 29, 2008 Pours a cloudy golden orange with a massive three-finger off-white head. Retention was excellent and left ample sheets of lacing. Aroma was big on light citrus with oranges and lemon zest dominating. Caramel malts are also present in the nose and a little bit of spices as well. The taste isn’t quite as good as the nose with the lemon taking on a bit of a sour kick up front and in the finish. The malts are present again but there is a slight acidity throughout the taste. The mouthfeel is light to medium with very high carbonation and little hop bitterness in the finish. This is a very drinkable brew for the warm weather with the dominant lemony hops. FunkyBrewster (121), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 26, 2008 Pours a cloudy orangish-red and looks a lot like apple-cider with a small white head. Very sweet and hoppy aroma with some fruity undertones. Flavors starts out very sweet and caramel followed by a quick hit of hops and some bitterness through the finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A little sweet for an IPA but a nice middle of the road choice
