COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first of the Brewery beers, Sands, named after the owner’s family. SANDS is a full-bodied beer with a smooth, soft, pleasant texture and a presentation of classic gold color.

Sip a Sands and taste the crisp, fine bitterness with large and abundant flavors that the locals call "the number one truly refreshing Bahamian Beer

SANDS "Truly Bahamian" Beer was launched on December 15th, 2007 in Grand Bahama Island, and was brewed to quench the Bahamian thirst, creating a specific definitive flair that was missing in the Bahamas beer market.

The combined knowledge of both the German brewing experts, local Bahamian Brewery team and owners has helped this newly launched beer become the hit of the Islands of the Bahamas.

SANDS was due to be distributed in Grand Bahama only, but by early January 2008 -- it was a national Bahamian Brand!

Similar to Kalik as both are pale yellow with little taste. Not bad chilled on a hot day but tastes bad at any other temperature. Has a hint of metallic to the taste that Kalik didn’t have.

Not that fullbodied because of the hot temperatures in the Bahamas. Perfect drinkability on a hot beach day. Malt taste and less BU. Most people in the Bahamas like sweetness that’s maybe the reason why it’s not that bitter. All in all a great beach beer.

Better than its light brother, but not by much. It’s as though the only difference is the amount of water they throw in. If you’re going to go for a Bahamian lager, stick with Kalik.

Can - big foamy head, medium yellow/gold color, pretty generic pale lager aroma and flavor but a little better than average for that category, slightly more full bodied but still very refreshing, not bad at all for the style a ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. The look is golden in color, white colored head, and clear. The smell is grainy, malt, chex mix, and basic. The taste is skunky, floral, malty sweetness.

Bottle - Skunky hops and grains. Fizzy light gold with a decent white head. Lots of sweet apple and a bit of grain with no hint of the skunkiness. A decent smelling but much too sweet beer.

As I had tasted the other Bahama Beer Kalik, Sands really disappoints. Drinkable with some lime but the pure taste only hints at real beer.

Ok for putting something cold in your mouth on a hot beach day, but not worth going out of the way for it.

Tampa, Fl - Total Wine and More - 11.15 fl oz bottle. Pours a medium-light golden with a persistent bubbly snow white head, nice bubble action. Soapy aroma with some grainy lager accents, a touch of wet paper bag. Standard Caribbean lager flavor with some light honey sweetness, a touch of metal, some club soda spritz. Mouthfeel is a bit distant and filmy. About what I expected, palatable - would do in a pinch in a Bahamian bar on the beach.
