COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For those wanting to quench their thirst but do it with a little less calories – Sands Light has the same characteristics as Sands. A little less full-bodied beer and less alcohol, Sands Light is still classic gold in color with a pleasant crisp and clean taste.

In the summer of 2009 — the Bahamian Brewery launched, and is now distributing in the Bahamas, its third brew — SANDS LIGHT — a light taste in a great beer.

The newest truly Bahamian beer has just hit the Bahamas beer market and is already getting rave reviews for staying true to its original taste while keeping the calories light.

I’m pretty sure they just added sparkling water to an already watery beer. If you are traveling to the area, and want to try a local brew, stay away from this one. It’s nothing special that you can’t get with a more familiar Budweiser or Coors Light. It maybe a bit better, but not worth it in the end

Draft at the brewery. Very clear, pale yellow, large white head. Slightly sweet and corny. Crisp and refreshing tho. For what it is, it isn’t that bad.

More or less the same as the regular Sands, maybe slightly thinner in body. That’s all I can pick out.

See Sands regular beer rating... not much difference with this one actually, other than the fact that it was a light beer and I figured it would be watery and unpleasant. However had good body and again a liberal happiness that added some flavor to this. Pretty good.

On vacation and from memory. I was extremely drunk and very hot. I spilled some on my poor pale ale Scottish skin and it felt great. Tasted refreshing at the time.

I mean its Bahamian so theres points there. Smells like nickles and corn. Taste is corny seltzer with a metal finish. Truly Bahamian.

Noticeably lighter than the original Sands and that crispness makes it actually easier to drink. Decent for the location.

Bottle. Pours a very pale straw yellow body with a nice frothy bright white head that faded to a thin sickly film pretty readily. The nose is really not too bad, very light, but not as much adjunct aroma as I was expecting. The flavor is even lighter and weaker than the aroma. Very watery with a bit of corn and a slight grainy taste. Zero hops in this one. Very light bodied and fizzy with a watery texture and a thankfully short finish. Towards the middle for Bahamian beer, not really good, but lacking in bad qualities more than some others. With less than 10 Bahamian beers on the market as of this moment, ya might as well try them all when you’re there.
