On tap @ Sanitas. Golden pour with a white head. Banana candy, sugar, and metal. Apple juice, pepper, and water. Maybe some paper. Gets more and more sugary. Flavor is banana candy, metal, and paper. Bitter pepper, tart, a bit solventy, and green apple skin. Really astringent.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Draft. Filtered clear. Dish soap and laundry detergent with banana-flavored salt water taffy, hair spray, saccharine, etc. Horribly dirty aroma, I really donít even want to taste it. I saw TARís review a couple of weeks ago and Iím not trying to find the same things in this, Iím being open to it, but it really is one of the worst-smelling Belgian / saison-like beers Iíve smelled. 2 for aroma and Iím not sure why it isnít a 1. Fizzy, sour, sweet saccharin-flavored gummy candies and laffy taffy. Light body, sweet, low bitterness, chalky yeast. Godawful.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can from Rob - thanks! Slightly hazy yellow-orange pour with a small white ring head. Slight yeast and citrus. A touch tart on the tongue with a somewhat lively palate. Getting some apple juice.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is light yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, corn starch), trace hops (herbs), lightly yeasty (sweatsocks), with light notes of banana/gum, lemon taffy, DMS, rubber, insecticide.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean.
Light body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
An amazingly bland rendition. Imagine blending a light Belgian blond ale 50/50 with water...no exaggeration. I mean, I realize saisons were originally a safe alternative to water and all, but...wow...it doesnít mean the beer canít be interesting and enjoyable (see Dupont Avril for a much lower ABV example thatís still jumping with character). It starts off with nary a head whatsoever, even when poured from a height...crystal clear as well. So, thereís nothing remotely Belgian about the appearance, it honestly looks like Coors and that ilk. I canít imagine thatís what they wanted. Beyond the near lack of an aroma, there are some off notes as well...some cooked veggie and rubber/plastic, dirty yeast, and maybe even some fusels...so not only is there not much to entice you, there are some things to repel. Incredibly light and watery mouthfeel completes the picture. All in all an impossible beer to like. I strongly suspect the 3.8+ ratings here are from friends of the brewers, or were otherwise bribed in some way to give a good rating...there is just nothing in this beer to enjoy (and I love light, delicate beers more than most). Sure hope this company makes some changes, for their sake.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear brilliant bright yellow with a thin foamy ring of head. Nice estery nose of Pilsner malt and corn chips and a wee bit of spicy dough. Spicy and estery flavor full of rye and pepper with some sweet sugary wheat/hay and a nice earthy and subdued bitterness.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
can from hazelís beverage world. Pours golden with a thin white head. leaves some lacing in the glass. not getting much on the nose. has a bit of barnyard on the tongue. Itíís not very strong and Iíve certainly had better saisons but I donít think this is one of the worst of the style.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Crisp up front, but it quickly thickens, and it even becomes kind of cloying in the finish. This is a very malt-forward saison with notes of honey, cereal and sweet grains. Yeast esters and hops are meadowy, floral and earthy. White-pepper bitterness. Nice lemongrass element in the aftertaste.
