Medium amber with orange. Lace. Fragrant amber malt and hop aroma, with fruits. Earthy amber malt flavor, with a bit of caramel and chocolate. Fruity—berries? Great hops. Powerful, long-lasting finish of hops, light amber malt and a bit of fruit. Very well balanced. Capa (738), Yokosuka, Japan Jun 7, 2007 Updated: Jun 10, 2007Pours copper with light orange hues in the highlights. Has a thin off-white head. Aroma is citrus hops, malts, a little molasses, and some floral. Has a solid, medium body. Flavor is malty, some hops and a bit of brown sugar. Finishes fairly bitter. Struck me more as a pale ale than amber, but a good brew no matter the style.
