Capa (665), Yokosuka, Japan Nov 23, 2007 For what reasons I’m not usre of, it took forever to get my hands on this beer. Pour is light copper-orange in color with a layer of an off-white head. Sweet malts, caramel, tropical fruits, and some floral notes round out the refreshing aroma. As it warms bready malts become much stronger, nearly overwhelming the rest of the aroma. Light, crisp body. Nice fruity flavor with caramel malts and a friendly hop bite in the finish. A solid ale that would be easily sessionable. MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Aug 2, 2007 My Bottom Line:
This snappy Golden Ale’s spicy tropical fruit and crunchy wooden hoppiness happily thrives in a well-fed body. Although it may be shy for some, this would surely appease the craft beer lover’s thirst and even please those seeking a crisp pilsener.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam dissolves into the clear golden.
-Citrus fruit and haystacks will always spell summer beer for me.
-The wooden hop bitterness stays long enough to seduce.
-The nose is rather shy compared to the flavor profile.
