On tap at rakubeer hiroshima. Easy drinking APA. Some citrus notes and a slight bitterness. Light carbonation. Enjoyable but not memorable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pleasant hoppy citrus nose. Grapefruit flavor, bread, floral bitter finish. Quite bitter for a fruity ale, almost with an IPA mouthfeel.

5.5% on sale at Kyoto’s Yodobashi Camera supermarket. It pours a clear dark gold & had a hint of funk in the aroma. The flavor was a nice pine & floral hop taste over a sweet malt base. A solid pale ale with a nice crisp bitting bitter finish, really refreshing on a hot day like today.

Draught at a local jii biru bar in Hiroshima. Clear like nice amber like golden colour with a medium white head, good lacing. Fresh hoppy fruity piney like aroma, sweet, citrus. Good mouthfeel. Fresh flavour of fruity citrus hops with bit pine to it, sweet, caramel, good bitterness.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2013 Bottle (notes from tasting session). Light malt, fairly rounded flavors. Some sweetnees. But not a lot happening. A bit bland in mid palate. Good medium body throughout. I’ve had a version of this (made specially for Beer Cafe Barley in Nishinomiya for a Real Ale event) thay was much much better.

On tap in La Cachette, Kaurazaka. Colour is nice reddish brown and clear with a medium white head. Nose is rye, sweetish malt bit of orange. Taste is citrous bitter, with a sweetish slightly toasty malt and pine bitter. On the finish their’s a bit of menthol coming through.

Bottle. Old rating found with my Japan trip notes. Amber in colour. A pungent floral aroma. Big fruit flavour, slightly soapy and savoury. Does not quite work for me.

Fruity, sweet, buttery aroma. Cherries, citrus, pine, butterscotch. Medium to dark copper color, lace. Peppery hops in the mouth, with caramel, toffee, citrus, pine. Long lasting, dry, prickly hop finish, with residual caramel. Quite hoppy indeed. Sweetness that is in the nose all but disappears in the mouth, and it ends up a bit too bitter.
