Bottle at my parents. Smooth. Sweet-ish and low bitterness. Juicy and tropical. A bit too subtle for my taste.

On tap at Komachi. Foamy snow-White head, golden body. Pineapple all through the nose. Tastes as juicy and sweet as fruit salad to begin with, but some bitterness creeps in to balance along the way. Refreshing but not all that exciting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0.33 l bottle from Tokyu Food Garden, Tokyo. Golden clear, bubbly with a head. Nice cider, no, wait, this a beer. A fruit beer that is, but not a sweet one as promised in the label. There is also some hops or something else making it a dry cider, I mean, a beer. As friend of straight fruit beers, this is not a bad idea at all.

On tap at craft beer market jimbocho summer 2014. Served in a half pint glass. Clear golden pineapple yellow color with a small off-white head. Strong pineapple aroma with a hint of clover honey and mint. The aroma is much more pleasing than the taste. Slightly malty and earthy hops present with a rough bitter dry finish. Was expecting something different...pineapple didn’t really shine through much.

Bottle from Asahiya. 5% served in a tulip. A clear gold with a thick foamy head, a nice aroma of honey, pineapple & grains. Medium to light bodied with a scratchy rough mouthfeel, I want my fruit beers to be softer. The taste is earthy, a bit rough with some pineapple. It is ok but I want it sweeter & smoother closerbyobthe common pineapple beer cocktail in Japan. As it warmed up it gave me a bit more of what I was looking for, more pineapple flavor.
