Black indeed with light brown lacing foam head. Aroma is sweet, so is taste - bit too sweet for me. Short sweet aftertaste. (Kemmel 201407)

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a medium-sized and tanned foamy head. Earthy and leafy, mildly roasted malty aroma with nutty notes, milk chocolate and caramel. Sweet, slightly sour and delicately bitter flavour, light bodied with a tame carbonation. Artificially sweet and slightly roasty malty start with leafy and slightly nutty notes; almost stickily sweet malty finish with a tinge of roasty bitterness and milk chocolate in the aftertaste. Not bad but too sweet for my liking. 29.VI.14

500ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing, dark brown colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Cautious, sweet-ish, dark malty aroma with a nuttily touch. Taste is moderately sweet malty, hints of treacle, malt lozenge, toffee, rock sugar, in the finish even a touch of roast and coffee; relatively light, slightly watery. Tasty.

Pours out in a deep black colour with low steady head and medium body. Nose of malt and caramel. Taste of malt, caramel, sugar syrup, brown bread, fruit bread and raisins. Hints of brown sugar. Sticky sweet finish, far too sweet and the beer seems more like malt beer than real beer plus it seems to be quite fakey. Big let-down.

Quite a crazy one. Maybe on of the sweetest piwos of my life. But that unique taste is really enjoyable. Sweets, some mild coffee and bit of nuts in the aroma. Unusual and maybe one for the fans - but I enjoyed it. Honestly.

bottle from bierpost. Deep brown, almost black, creamy beige head. Malty and sweet with lots of roasty flavours, caramel, chocolate, coffee... Highly drinkable, sweet but not too sweet.
