Robust malty base, slightly toasted with light notes of caramel and molasses; sweet malty finish without any balancing bitterness, although the alcohol is fairly well integrated. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate celler sour and dusty, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Dark brown colour, off-white tan head. Aroma is fruity and of dark malts. Flavour is malty, fruity and artificially sweet. Ends sour. caesar (2597), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Oct 20, 2007 Tap, bokbierfestival Utrecht. Dark brown color, medium off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, some sweetness, bit fruity as well, caramel, bit bready, some walnut indeed. Good thick body. Bit sweet taste, malty, good balance. Very nice bock.
