3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
July 28th, 2014 - Moving down the taster line, I have Peter Bís Berliner Weisse, a honey colored beer with the slightest of heads, but otherwise, a calm, placid surface where foam once sat. Curiously, the aroma begins with wet dog and tortilla chips, and ends with lemon and lime. Maybe my olfactory is dialed into "crazy" but itís a strange smell, though not unpleasant. I expected more white grape and citrus, but this will do. The acidity is on high alert, but still pleasant, with a lot of vinegar twang - more like a fancy, unsweetened lemonade. The aftertaste is short, but bolstered by a good body. Another winner from Peter Bís.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ ISO: Beers. Clear straw colored beer with a small white head. Kind of salty and briny nose with a bunch of lemon, some white vinegar, and yogurt. Kind of grassy. This is super thin and a bit watery, but it does have good sourness. Decent amount of lemon zest and juice. Slight salt and mineral note. Okay.
