1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 TyggaBrown (256) - - JAN 6, 2013Honey. That’s all that’s quite ok with this one. Thin and tasteless and as good as no aroma. Poor.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Palme (2252) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 26, 2013
0.33l bottle. This is a crystal clear dark golden one with a small quickly islandy and bubbly off-white top. On the nose it’s wort-ish, sawdust and earthy potatoes that plays the violin. It’s gently carbonated and the mouthfeel is actually not as bad as I would have expected. Some resistance and mouthfeel. Flavors not horrible either. The usual suspects are present with sawdust, grains and wort, but it also has a slight peppery spiciness in the finish. A bit sweeter and it has more mouthfeel than the regular stuff. Christmas mood after drinking this? Fair, it’s the 19th Jan today, but I doubt it would have made any difference if Santa himself served this to me on Christmas eve. Dull but drinkable alternative for preggos is what I call this. 19.01.2013
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 altonbrownd (4210) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JUN 8, 2012
Bottle in June(!) in Oslo from Joker. Okay. Not clear to me that this was Low Alcohol and was laughed at my Norwegian family. Dark golden body with big head. Nose is malty and grassy. Taste is plenty of malt, with some bitter, and dry. But missing ABV aplenty. Finish is too dry and sharp.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 Maria (9572) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 9, 2012
Courtesy of Yngwie. It’s dark amber and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma has notes of perfumed soap, malt and mash. The sweet flavor has notes of mash and grain, and the finish is slightly dry and sweet.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 gunnar (3599) - Sandnes, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2011
Bottle at home. A true misfit this one. Pours light golden with a small white layer of bubbles. Aroma is not very easy to detect, some weak unpleasant malts. Taste is dull, watered out newspaper.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 abemorsten (1880) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - DEC 12, 2011
0,33 l bottle at the Draupner platform, Norwegian continental shelf. Pours deep sparkling golden, with a tan colored, foamy head of medium size. Aroma reminiscent of hopped wort. Some tobacco, toasted notes far back there, malts as well. Tastes metallic with veggie notes. Some malts in the finish replaced by the bitterness as it takes hold of the tongue. Light to medium body. Astringent during the first bitter grip of the tongue but mostly bland with an unpleasant pulpy, paper like mouth feel. Leaves the tongue numb.
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Finn (3090) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 5, 2011
Flaske 0,33l fra dagligvarebutikk i Tromsø. Drukket hjemme 21 Nov 11. Brun på farge. OK luftig skum som fester seg litt til glasset og varer en stund. Aromaen er søt malt. Smaken det samme. Det blir veldig søtt og kjedelig etter hvert. Maltsmaken henger lenge i. KI=3
