3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle, purchased at BevMo LaJolla. Pours light amber color with a light haze along with a large, fluffy off-white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of sweet summer fruits, a bit of caramel, floral and vegetal notes, sort of a blanched cabbage scent and a bit of orange. Flavor includes orange juice, toasty malts, caramel, citrus and a bit of grapefruit with dominant floral-herbal tones and a spicy finish. Medium body and gentle carbonation.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20
Fusel aroma with very little hops. Deep golden in color with some effervesence and little head. Ethanol-like flavor, some alcohol, more medicinal than hoppy. I love their brown and stout, but this is disappointing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle poured a clear golden color with a small white head that faded quickly. Aromas of citrus hops and some light caramel malts. Taste had a nice bitterness with a big dry hoppy finish. Didnít think that should be rated so low, but maybe I got a good fresh batch.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
What a dog. I hadnít read anything about this beer, so I actually had moderately high hopes until that first whiff of stewed corn dashed my hopes like October for a
Cubs fan. Malty, vegetal aroma; sweet vegetal taste, stale, a bit of astringent hops in there but they are neither pleasant nor strong enough to mask the fact that the other aspects of the beer are miserable. I managed to get through one pint but the rest of the bomber went down the drain. This is not a beer Iíd willingly revisit.

Jeez - after being so impressed with their stout I was wondering if this really came from the same brewery. Not horrid, but very pedestrian. Seemed like a weird hop soda, which isnít bad, but sure as hell didnít blow my socks off. Murky and muddled and nearly comic.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a hazy pale yellow. Aroma is more like a pilsner than an IPA - did they use Saaz hops? In the mouth itís overwhelmingly bitter, and again reminds me of a pilsner. Itís really bitter and not much else. Some alcohol warming. Didnít really like this one.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poursa cloudy golden hue with a frothy slight off=white heas. Aromas of pine, citrus, a little cereal and a light toffee essence. Mouthfeel is medium to full-bodied with flavors of cereal, honey with a decent bitterness. The thickness of this brew for an IPA is overpowering.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thin aroma. First sip is aggressive raw hops that are so strong it makes the rest of the beer seem like water in the background. With successive sips a strong malt sweetness rises up to match the hops. The malt and the hops jostle back and forth in your mouth in a manner that reminds me of Scarlett Fire. Grapefruit character of the hops comes through in the finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Amber beer with a white head. Fruity citrus and summer fruit aroma with sweet malt backing. Citrus hops with a good malt backing - caramel and a bit of chocolate. Earthy hops and moderate bitterness. Easy drinking. Bit of a dry-hop grassiness.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not a very drinkable brew. Hazy, pale amber in body with a with a ring-around-the-glass for a head, it has a pungent, earthy aroma atop some sweet caramel with traces of floral and orange zest. The flavor is also earthy with some sweet malt and old grapefruit peels. It finishes on a dirty, bitter note - not very pleasant.
