Jeez - after being so impressed with their stout I was wondering if this really came from the same brewery. Not horrid, but very pedestrian. Seemed like a weird hop soda, which isn’t bad, but sure as hell didn’t blow my socks off. Murky and muddled and nearly comic.

Pours a hazy pale yellow. Aroma is more like a pilsner than an IPA - did they use Saaz hops? In the mouth it’s overwhelmingly bitter, and again reminds me of a pilsner. It’s really bitter and not much else. Some alcohol warming. Didn’t really like this one.

Poursa cloudy golden hue with a frothy slight off=white heas. Aromas of pine, citrus, a little cereal and a light toffee essence. Mouthfeel is medium to full-bodied with flavors of cereal, honey with a decent bitterness. The thickness of this brew for an IPA is overpowering.

Thin aroma. First sip is aggressive raw hops that are so strong it makes the rest of the beer seem like water in the background. With successive sips a strong malt sweetness rises up to match the hops. The malt and the hops jostle back and forth in your mouth in a manner that reminds me of Scarlett Fire. Grapefruit character of the hops comes through in the finish.

Bottle. Amber beer with a white head. Fruity citrus and summer fruit aroma with sweet malt backing. Citrus hops with a good malt backing - caramel and a bit of chocolate. Earthy hops and moderate bitterness. Easy drinking. Bit of a dry-hop grassiness.

Not a very drinkable brew. Hazy, pale amber in body with a with a ring-around-the-glass for a head, it has a pungent, earthy aroma atop some sweet caramel with traces of floral and orange zest. The flavor is also earthy with some sweet malt and old grapefruit peels. It finishes on a dirty, bitter note - not very pleasant.

Harsher than other IPAs, with strong, overpowering alcohol and hoppy bite.

This IPA pours a cloudy orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange, citrus and a touch floral. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet, with lots of orange and citrus flavors. Hops are floral, a touch earthy and citrusy. Kind of mild for a west coast IPA, it’s much more in the English style. Lively carbonation. Bitter without being aggressive. Smooth taste, it has an overall balance that is way to the sweet side. I don’t know, but I like my IPAs to be a little bitter. Very drinkable IPA, if you can get past all that sweetness. It does hide the 7.5% alcohol fairly well; it is noticeable at the finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

Bottled. pours a murky copper color with an off-white head. Pine, roses and cereal aromas. Flavor tastes like burnt grain. Overly bitter...in a bad way.

Bottle: Dirty golden, loads of sediment, moderate foamy white head, fairly nice lacing, little or no carbonation.   Somewhat harsh musty grain on the nose.   Astringent grapefruit rind and bitter grains on the tongue.   This one is quite brash.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Twangy biting citrus rind on the exit.   Not a lot of hop bitterness, but moreso astringent.   Lingering musty grains and cereal.   Blech... Thanks for the new label Bill!
