2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Taste is very apple juice like with some yeastiness and light grassy hops. Super apple like maltiness. A bit yeastier than I like and sweeter too but at least its a bit unique. Not dry enough, clean enough, or hoppy enough to be very crisp or refreshing.

12 oz can; gold color; musty aroma; sweet malt flavor; slightly fruity; almost like a blonde ale - a bit of ale-like fruitiness; I would have preferred a bit more crisp and hoppy

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can numerous times now I’m finally rating it
pours pale yellow hue with a small fizzy white head that lasts forevermore. Nose is german hops pale grains lite grassy notes. Solid. Flavors exhibit lots of hop bitterness with lots of grapefruit and cereal. Solid pils need to have it on tap.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy straw color with a small white head. The aroma is saaz and some clean pilsner malt. A nice bready note is most dominant, and the hops meld nicely. The flavor starts out sweet and finishes crisp and slightly bitter.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Santa Fe Freestyle Pilsner has a thick, white head, a mostly clear, straw, bubbly appearance, and a good amount of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sweet, pungent barley malt and grassy hops. Taste is of sweet, fairly rich, biscuit malt and grassy, slightly lemony hops. Mouthfeel is medium, and Santa Fe Freestyle Pilsner finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing. At 5.5% alcohol, this beer gives you more of what you might be looking for in a lager. RJT

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pretty weak aroma - kind of like Bud Light. That was worrisome. Taste, on the other hand, is a nice blend of Pils and Saaz. Crisp with good carb. Is it a little weak for a pils? Yes, I would have guessed it as something of a classier pale lager, like perhaps Stella Artois, but it sure beats their disappointing IPA. This brewery is clearly trying to reach out to inexperienced drinkers on the micro/macro fence. It’s a hot day, though, and I actually prefer average pilsners to below-average IPAs, so I was more generous with this one.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours pale clear yellow with a large bubbly head. The aroma has clean crisp maltiness, light dough, hints of spicy hops and a smoothness like a helles. It has a fairly light crisp body with semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with slight more toasted malt than the aroma or appearance indicate and a light amount of spicy / herbal hops. The finish is a bit more crackery. Good pils.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
can from Mile High. This is pretty solid Pilsner. Aroma has notes of cereal and light vegetation. The hops are apparent in a spicy, earthy way. Mouthfeel is pretty solid. Good solid hop bite with a direct delivery of grains and cracker in the flavor. There is a hint of corn in the flavor, but otherwise this is pretty straightforward grain and hops with notes of crackers, dough, and woody hops. Nicely balanced.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours clear yellow with a decent head and a medium body. Flavors are grass, dirt, some corn, and a metallic aftertaste.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
No aroma hops on the nose, very little bittering hops on the finish. The palate is watery, lemony, and lacks the depth the Vienna malt they have brewed with. Overall, a disappointment.
