4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Santa Fe Imperial Java Stout
A- Pours dark brown with a thick light brown 3 finger head.
S- earthy, fresh ground coffee and dark chocolate.
T- follows the nose very well. The earthy coffee flavor hits the palate first followed by chocolate flavors and slight hop bitterness to round out the finish.
M- medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of carbonation. Not much in the aftertaste.
O- this is an excellent coffee stout. I like the dirty/earthy flavors of the coffee. It's definitely on the lower end of the Imperial ABV, but it makes it more drinkable. The price point is also excellent, $9-$11 for a six pack.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Strong black color with strong tan head. Strong, creamy coffee water aroma. Strong coffee flavor with a light bitter finish but a little bit of stale coffee bean. The aroma is more pleasant than the flavor.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is pure, strong coffee. Flavor if strong coffee, some malt, light sweetness, dark chocolate with a strong coffee bitterness. Mouthfeel is surprisingly lighter the expected, I guess perhaps medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, a very enjoyable, tasty brew! Very strong on the coffee and I dig that.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A black beer with a ridiculously large tan head. Seriously, it is way over-carbonated about two inches of beer to six inches of head on a gentle pour. The aroma is coffee, chocolate, oat, and lactose. The flavor is coffee, lactose, and a bit of anise as well, but inferior to the aroma.
