COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the kind of beer that gives the word "stout" a reputation. Extra generous quantities of barley malt, followed by vigorous fermentation leaves this "imperial" heavy weight with 8% alcohol A.B.V. and a body as full as chocolate bread pudding. A complimentary and complex array of bitter notes comes form potent American hops, earthy British hops, black-roasted malts and, of course, coffee. Santa Fe Brewing Company uses only top-quality ingredients like organically grown East Timor coffee beans blended with New Guinea coffee beans, locally roasted by O’hori’s Coffee House. Its heavenly flavor and aroma can’t be beat or imitated.

Can... This beer rocks!… Pitch black ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. The aroma is a bold, hearty mélange of coffee, fudge, mocha and caramel. Full-bodied and velvety with feathery carbonation. The flavor furnishes a luxuriant blend of espresso, singed marshmallow and bittersweet dark chocolate. Silky-smooth, chocolate crème and fudge finish. Vastly underrated. Big-Time kudos goes out to trukpro for shipping this can of world class brew my way!

Can. I was going to save this as a surprise for RABG but I’m craving a really good coffee beer right now, plus we already have over 150 awesome brews in the line-up, so I suspect this won’t be missed. Very dark brown with an incredibly lively head that needed to be poured in three installments. Aroma is strong coffee, quite raw, with vegetal undertones. Same bold raw coffee bean flavour, spicy and earthy undertones, with a nice roastiness in support. Bitter dry finish. Mouthfeel is a little prickly from the carbo, but didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2012 The beer pours a dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma features a lot of coffee, as well as a hint of chocolate and some roasted malt. The flavor is very similar. I get a lot of mocha coffee notes, as well as some roasted malt and vanilla. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice coffee stout. Glad I got a chance to try it.

Coffee, coffee, coffee. This is one of the best coffee/java stouts that I've ever tastes. Some java stouts can be overwhelming, but their is the perfect blend of all aspects. Great aroma, taste, palate, and aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flavor is malt dominant, moderate chocolate and spicy coffee, dark fruity esters, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Full body, medium carbonation.

The everyman beer rating: Can . . . nice enough pour, little light on the head, aroma is definitely coffee-like as they espouse (though it is a bit like a Folgers aroma). Decent enough stout with a mild taste and smooth drink.
