COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the kind of beer that gives the word "stout" a reputation. Extra generous quantities of barley malt, followed by vigorous fermentation leaves this "imperial" heavy weight with 8% alcohol A.B.V. and a body as full as chocolate bread pudding. A complimentary and complex array of bitter notes comes form potent American hops, earthy British hops, black-roasted malts and, of course, coffee. Santa Fe Brewing Company uses only top-quality ingredients like organically grown East Timor coffee beans blended with New Guinea coffee beans, locally roasted by O’hori’s Coffee House. Its heavenly flavor and aroma can’t be beat or imitated.

Aroma of coffee with notes of chocolate and malt. Pours an opaque brown with a short lived tan head and nice lacing. Taste Is overall bitter. Strong bitter coffe flavor with hints of dark bitter chocolate and malt sweetness. A bitter coffee aftertaste persists. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Overall, an excellant imperial stout.

12 oz can. Dark brown with tan foam. Nose is coffee bean, char, Baker’s chocolate and black licorice. Creamy almost full body with a roasty tang. Taste is big on coffee bean with vanilla, raisin, juniper and brownie.

12 oz. can brought back from Willrunforbeer’s recent Vegas trip. Aroma is really nice bold and lingering espresso bean ( like standing next to a coffee grinder ) mild hints of chocolate.

The flavor is long lingering coffee beans. Earthy flavor with a good medium to full body of roast. The coffee lingers on and on but does have a slight vegetal hint but still awfully good. The texture is smooth and creamy with a soft carbonation.

Can from my latest Vegas trip. Pours dark brown with an off white head. Aroma is vegetal, dark coffee, nut. Flavor is better than it smells. Caramel, dark coffee, nut.

Can. This is a nice smooth drinking brew. Like an alcohol laced cold brew coffee.

Had in Aspen, can poured into snifter. Pours with a light head that dissipates rather quickly, beer a deep red and brown. Strong coffee aromas with some caramel and hop coming through. Light and carbonated mouthfeel with crisp finish. Coffee flavor up front and lasting at the end. A bit more coffee than my liking but it's pretty clear of that in the name! Still a solid stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can at home. Pours an opaque black with a small beige head. Quite sweet with aromas of coffee and burned malts. Also aromas of burned caramel and hints of dried fruits. Medium to full bodied. Medium carbonation. Bitter finish. Bit too sweet... like a crossover of a porter an a white Russian.
