COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the kind of beer that gives the word "stout" a reputation. Extra generous quantities of barley malt, followed by vigorous fermentation leaves this "imperial" heavy weight with 8% alcohol A.B.V. and a body as full as chocolate bread pudding. A complimentary and complex array of bitter notes comes form potent American hops, earthy British hops, black-roasted malts and, of course, coffee. Santa Fe Brewing Company uses only top-quality ingredients like organically grown East Timor coffee beans blended with New Guinea coffee beans, locally roasted by O’hori’s Coffee House. Its heavenly flavor and aroma can’t be beat or imitated.

Pours dark black with beige head and great lacing down the glass. Aroma of coffee hits you in the face with chocolate and sweet malt. Taste is quite the same with full body also taste of chocolate pudding with nice biter aftertaste that doesn’t linger. Overall a great stout, but man i hope the caffeine doesn’t keep me up tonight.

It poured a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of freshly ground coffee, chocolate, caramel and some spices. The taste was of bitter coffee with roasted malts and sweet sugared chocolate. Good stuff.

Pours a deep black with a small tan head. Aroma of smokiness, coffee, and some sweet malt. Taste of burnt coffee (not in a bad way tho), sugar, and some bread and vanilla. Seemed a little on the thin side, but quite a unique take on an imperial stout. Very enjoyable.

pours black with minimal head or lacing. metalic, damp woodchip and coffee aroma. body is thin for the style. taste has plenty of coffee with hints of other spices. There is an almost tannic dryness present in the finish. not a terrible beer by any stretch but this style has been done and far better than this.

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate chocolate and roasted coffee. It’s a dark brown with faint orange highlights and a small beige head that eventually fades to a thin ring around the edges of the glass. There is some thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate dark chocolate with a touch of molasses. He finish has light coffee/espresso with a hint of vanilla. It’s medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.

Can shared by Pinkzambia nearly black light tan head. Plenty of coffee in the aroma and a nice spicy sweet roastiness. Some simar character of their "cigarette porter" nice sharp roast flavors with some sweetness as well. Fairly dry finish

Can: Jet black with a tan head. Aroma of ash tray, coffee - a regular break room favorite at the factory. Bitter flavors of coffee grounds with sugar added. Thin feel even though some bitterness remains. Not bad, unique for a coffee imperial stout.

Can to glass. Strong coffee initially but fades relatively quickly. Dark black pour with light brown head. More biscuit as it warms. Taste is burnt toast and bread crust. Coffee is there but is mostly muted. medium to full body. Not bad.

A dark brown body with limited clarity, under a coarse lacing sand-colored top. A distinct metal scent at first, followed by a big coffee aroma. Hint of alcohol. Supercreamy mouthfeel. Medium to full body. Coffee-flavored from here to eternity. Soft, rounded and creamed. Light bitter tones, and hint of dark dried fruits underneath. A very good one. Coffee-o-rama! [12 fl.oz. can, gift from yngwie. Thanks my friend!]

Near black with a nice beige head that slowly fades to a film. Tons of lacing. Aroma is coffee with cream and sugar and some chocolate notes. Taste is milk chocolate and slightly bitter coffee. Silky palate. Really nice.
