Pours dark black with beige head and great lacing down the glass. Aroma of coffee hits you in the face with chocolate and sweet malt. Taste is quite the same with full body also taste of chocolate pudding with nice biter aftertaste that doesnít linger. Overall a great stout, but man i hope the caffeine doesnít keep me up tonight.

Pours an opaque, very dark brown, with a creamy taupe head. Full, griddle grease, olive, and smoky coffee aromas. Smooth, moderately thick mouthfeel. A lot of balance in this coffee, chocolate, smoke, cooked grease on the griddle, and olive flavors. Very, very good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hearty, freshly ground coffee atop the roasty stout base. Balance of flavors is superb for an everyday shelf beer. Rivals Breakfast Stout in its level of refinement. Thrilled that this is widely available around here.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a black color with a small foamy tan head that faded and left decent lacing. The aroma was strong ground coffee and a bit of roasty malts. The flavor was strong ground coffee, vanilla, marshmallow with sweet toasty malts. Very long finish. Thick and creamy body. Very nice.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can to glass. Pours a deep brown to black color with a creamy tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, light coffee, chocolate, nutty. Flavor brings out a bit more roasted malt sweetness with a touch of coffee bitterness. Some cacao still shines through. Light to medium in body and very drinkable for an imperial stout. Maybe more along the lines of a stout. But who cares. Very tasty.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep translucent brownish black from the can with fluffy tan brown head and bubbly carbonation. Aroma of lots of cold brewed coffee and a hint of sweet chocolate. Taste is like a Starbucks cold coffee that you get out of a gas station, hints of milk and sugar with lots of coffee. Hint of bitter earth, no booze at all, good carbonation, nicely done.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A- Black coffee, roasty.
A- Black color, black liquid, tan head.
T- Strong black coffee, cocoa, roasted, malty, slightly bitter, alcohol.
P- Full body, average texture, soft carbonation, roasty finish.
O- If you like coffee, this is your beer. The aroma smells like a fresh cup of joe, and the color the same. Itís really a thing of beauty. The taste is straight coffee, although you can detect the alcohol a little bit as well as a lingering bitterness that I am not particularly a fan of but at the same time doesnít make this beer any less of a great brew. I was expecting a decent beer, but this turned out to be a surprisingly great beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown pour with a light tan head. Aroma is dominated by roasted coffee. Flavor is coffee upfront with notes of cocoa and malt sweetness. Very easy to drink and pretty tasty. Finish is smooth. Not quite as robust as I was hoping for but still a very respectable coffee stout.
