4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: AUG 1, 2010 pours pours medium red to dark amber with a really nice super creamy and thick khaki head with a nice retention and nice lacing. aroma is very bready and yeasty with a nice hop resin finish to it. the mouthfeel is very full and heavy.very chewy. the heavyness melts away in your mouth leaving an intense coating like butter. i tryed this beer about a month ago and it was too hot, it is def much better now! *third re-rate, beer is now over 2 years old! wow, this is a great, super hoppy malt forward iipa still, nearly bw level, but still very hoppy, great carb and head, very bitter and sweet, nice stuff! i will definitely be keeping the last bottle i think! has held up very well, should be good for maybe even another year! wow! actually went from a 4.4 to a 4.5 on this most recent bottle!!!

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2010 1st rating. 750ml bottle signed and numbered #2645/3317. Great looking IPA, hazy orange with a nice clingy white head. Real good piney aroma, a little subdued. Real good hop bite upfront that mellows out nicely in the finish. Pretty well balanced and very tasty.. Big thanks to my brother Todd(packbrew66) for picking this up on his way through New Mexico.

Glad to have seen WFM in the snow on way to Taos new years eve. It strikes out pretty aggressively and holds up throughout. I even opened a second bottle the next night, capped it and put in the fridge and it was fine the next day. Balanced well for what it is. Wish I could get more.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 14, 2009 Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a murky orange-amber color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was a splendidly strong mix of sweet grapefruit, pineapple and pine that promised liquid glory. The flavor, sadly did not quite live up to the aroma but was none the less full of strong grapefruit and pine with a nutty, yeasty and almost smoky undertone. A bit too dry and bitter on the flavor. The finish was long, sour, nutty and full of fruity hops. The body was fairly thick. Well done but left me wanting.

Pours hazy orange with a thick head that hangs around, slowly lacing the glass. VERY strong pineapple aroma with a hint of citrus. This beer is great on the palate, just enough thickness to really stick around and provide a long finish. The flavor is very well balanced. The hops don’t come on too strong but are offset but a sweet maltiness. This is a fantastic beer!

Cloudy amber with a medium beige head. Aroma had plenty of hops, pine, grapefruit and exotic fruits. Plenty of hops in the fairly dry flavor with pine, grapefruit and peachy notes. Finished dry and very bitter. Nice.

I like it. One of the strongest caramel notes I’ve ever tasted. Generously dry-hopped, pungently bitter, spicy burnt orange and piny leave. Definitely my favorite NM beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at the ’09 RBPTE, courtesy of my buddy Mike who drove this bottle across the US. Spicy nose, with pineapple, resin, and heavy pine. Clear amber body with an average frothy off-white head. Full bodied with medium carbonation and bitter finish. Heavy bitterness throughout, long lasting, with minimal sweetness and acidity. A little bit of oxidation, but this bottle was given to me in Dec. ’08, so it was bound to be a little less than fresh. Otherwise, a nice beer.

Bottle 269 from wavers1? Pours a hazy copper with a white head. Smells of pineapples, resin, floral, spicy, vanilla notes. Tastes lightly bitter with sweet citrus, pepper, resiny, warming alcohol presence on the finish. Enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Taster at the brewery. Pours a thin head over a golden copper (SRM 8-9) slightly cloudy body......nose is heavy pine and citrus grapefruit, with later pineapple and honey.....taste is heavy pine and citrus grapefruit, ending with bitterness....mouth feel is medium to heavy and carbonation low. Although this confection really tasted good, the hop backbone seemed a little rough. I think another year or so in the bottle will create an outstanding beer.
