Strong malt aroma - some crystal and carared. Mouth feel is medium to full bodied but not heavy on the palate. Some crystal malt sweetness mixed with a hint of dark roasted coffee. Not a bad beer at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

tap Aroma is sweet, of cream, sugar, and malt. Flavor features malt, candy sugar, toffee, and a strange skunkiness. Not terrible, but definitely on par with my (low) expectation

12oz can that I got a case of for cheap. Dark red-brown color, good head. Smells super malty, not bad. Flavor is robust and malty, cereal, sort of surprising given the abv. Good session beer even though its a little darker in color. Santa Fe makes some pretty decent beer. Serving type: can Reviewed on: 08-25-2012 01:14:58

Can poured a clear dark reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and light frruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel and light earthiness with a smooth lingering carmel finish.

12oz can pours a nice amber with copper edges and weak sort of light tan head. The mild aroma offers up earthy hops, spicy hops and a light amount of dark roasted malts. The taste begins moderately sweet with malts and a sweet nuttiness and then it moves toward a light amount of dark roasted malts as well as vague snippets of hop bitterness. This is hitting the spot right now. It is pretty full flavored for the style.

Dark ruby with a thick off-white head, settling to a substantial, soapy lace - nose is medium dry maltiness, cocoa, toasted grains, light toffee, a bit of breadiness - body is farily creamy - low carbonation - flavor is dry, medium bitter, with light acidity - some toasty grains, a light tartness, moderate earthy qualities - very light toffee sweetness before a finish of long lingering toasted bread and leafy hops - pretty solid, really.

Pour out of 12 oz can with little no white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, biscuit, some slight yeast and grassy notes. Taste is bready biscuit, some caramel, yeast, some slightly acidic grain with a pleasant earth, finishing fairly sweet but dried out. Like this, pretty solid for the style.
